    HUGE THANK YOU's to all of you who came to The Garden to help out. The day was a tremendous success!! In less than five hours the garden was transformed from a slightly overgrown and unorganized patch of green and brown to a vibrant, productive community garden oasis. Two new raised beds and a two-bin compost were built; all 27 existing beds were amended and are ready for seeds and transplants; over 25 strawberry plants were donated and planted; dozens of new colorful signs declare garden tidbits; and 8 fruit trees were pruned and mulched. Everybody was getting dirty, meeting new people, having fun and working together. The Garden is well on its way to a productive and fruitful season...
