For all positions applicant must be comfortable working with diverse groups of people and ages and a passion for and understanding of issues related to local food security and community development.  Candidates must have excellent communication skills, ability to work as a team player, desire to be part of a start-up community food project, and be comfortable answering questions about the 7th Street Garden.

Garden Coordinator
Position is 3-4 hours per week.  Available openings are Mondays 3-6 and Thursdays 3:30-6:30. The Garden Coordinator manages the garden during open hours of operation.  Job details include: 1) watering plants; 2) following weekly list of “to do’s” which usually include weeding, planting, or other garden work; 3) facilitating/assisting volunteers and Green Tomorrows participants with garden work; 4) welcoming passer-bys and answering questions about the garden; 5) unlocking and locking garden before and after shift.

Education: Experience in farming or gardening ideal, but will train.
